Description

Whitby Town legend Graham Robinson joins Paul Connolly to recount his life in football. Over two house, Robbo talks about his upbringing in Johannesburg during Apartheid and his early footballing days playing alongside the likes of Mark Fish and Lucas Radebe before moving to Robin Hood's Bay. In the UK, the former Blues forward had a number of trials with Football League clubs while turning out for Fylingdales and Fishburn Park, before a move to Whitby Town came in 1995. After his initial spell, and a period in Sweden, Robinson returned to the club, turning out at Wembley in the 1997 FA Vase final and winning the Northern League. The forward also reflects on a season at Gateshead and the rest of his years at the Turnbull Ground, among other clubs.
