Description

This week, continuing the “Love and Relationship” series, I expand on (some) of what I learned from years of being in open relationships. I explain how I define them and “polyamory”. This topic is dear to my heart, and some of my most beautiful, loving and challenging experiences of my life have come through this exploration.
I don’t profess to have a formula for the “best relationship structure”, but I do feel that some of the tenants I learned through open relating are invaluable to any healthy connection. I also believe that our current societal relationship norms are in desperate need of an overhaul, and that the discussion around open relationships is an important part of re-considering what a healthy relationship means.
I answer your questions of how I began being in an open relationship and my advice to those considering transitioning that direction. I hope you enjoy listening to my perspective as someone who’s explored all sorts of permutations of intimacy. I’d love to hear your reflections and further questions. @magicforrealists magicforrealists.ca
