Born from Ruth Royall's instagram campaign last year to raise awareness and rebel against unrealistic beauty standards. The ‘Keep It Real’ campaign flooded instagram with positive images intended to spread the message that we are enough as we are. The drum and bass community rose to the challenge and joined Ruth by posting images of themselves with #keepitreal painted on their body.
In response to this outpouring of support and with a clear need to take the conversation further, Ruth has launched a podcast to keep the discussion going.
In this Episode I chat to Reid Speed. Reid is a driving force in the American Drum and Bass and Dubstep scene. Her labels 'Play me Records' and 'Play Me Too Records' champion the American end of Dubstep, Two Step and Drum and Bass.
