Description

In this episode, Elliot Rae talks about his passion for supporting dads through their fatherhood journey, and having open conversations.

He created Becoming Dad- a documentary about dad's experiences. It talks about the challenges of modern fatherhood, and dads mental health. He talks about birth trauma. His aim was to represent a wider perspective. Much of the work he does is challenging beliefs & bias around equality and masculinity.

Music, Football, Fatherhood came about after the difficult birth of his daughter (he shares some of his story here). Both him and his wife were diagnosed with PTSD.

"We don't have the peer support structure that women often have ... so we just don't talk to anyone!"
