There are many types of trauma and abuse that many people don’t “see” including domestic, sexual, emotional, and financial abuse. As a trauma survivor and single mother who struggled to make ends meet, Jennifer Ramirez's hardships became her motivation to have a better life. What started as a grass-roots effort to empower women has grown into &Rise – a thriving non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of women to be the ultimate versions of themselves, no matter what adversities they’ve faced. Programs and events hosted by &Rise support and inspire trauma and abuse survivors throughout the Chicago area, the United States, and beyond.
Honored as Sterk Family Law Group's December 2022 Non-Profit Hero, &Rise offers educational resources, counseling, support groups and coaching to help women rise above the trauma so they can heal and flourish into the person God created them to be!
