This week we begin the Sefer Bamidbar, The Book of Numbers.And really when you look at our Parsha, you'll find lists over lists, number over numbers. Counting Am Israel like this, and counting Am Israel like that.Why does the Torah go into so much detail about the numbers and structure of Am Israel?
And even more so, we know from many sources that counting Am Israel is a bad thing, so why is there so much counting even going on to begin with??
