Welcome to the Episode 90 of the Podcast and the Arts and Wellness Wednesdays.
On Wednesdays we focus on the Arts and how it can impact our health and well-being. I will be talking with artists, looking at activities that you can do to be more creative across the board and for those who are carers tips and strategies that you can use. I will also be sharing reviews, resources and other insights. I will be looking at the nuggets that the artists share and see how we can apply it in some way to our own lives, what ever your interests.
In this Episode I speak to artist Francks Deceus at the Caribbean Fine Art Fair. Born in Haiti Deceus and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was 9 years old. His work incorporates many of the influences and aesthetic forms of the 40's and 50's visual artist like William Johnson and Jacob Lawrence. His modernist style combines figurative, abstract and layered elements and relies heavily on a simplification of form and function.
