Leviticus 10:1-2 [KJV]
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.
A strange fire is anything I have started without God's authorization. As Christians, we are meant to be led by the Spirit of God:
Romans 8:14 [KJV]
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Therefore, whenever we try to do things our way, without the input and direction of the Holy Spirit, we end up failing and feeling frustrated.
This year, choose to walk in the Spirit. Choose to be led by the Spirit of God. Refuse to offer strange fires.
