Dr. Alex Shenfield is currently an Associate Professor of Machine Learning at Sheffield Hallam University. He joined Sheffield Hallam University in November 2013 from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His main research interests are in the field of machine learning and particularly in its application to real-world problems in image processing and pattern recognition, healthcare, and Industry 4.0.
