Rooney and John walk out, trying to avoid people because John has contracted COVID. They review the holidays, a trip to one of Ronda's oldest and best restaurants, Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, bullfighting tradition, the ancient history and battlements of Ronda, and John makes an unfortunate remark in the village bar.
