We are BACK with episode 3! In this episode, we get to know Olivia and learn about her background- she is currently a badass performance and health coach based out of South Korea.
In this episode, you'll hear how Olivia's experience with fitness, body image, body building, CrossFit and more. As a young woman, her negative body image drove her to quit dancing- and it wasn't until years later that she restarted her fitness journey during a year abroad in South Korea.
Olivia loves to read, listen to music, and dance.. but as she dug deeper into the world of bodybuilding and CrossFit as an adult, she found that training, food and the drive to always be doing MORE took over her life. She tells us about what led her to realizing that the bodybuilding needed to stop, and what has now led her to re ignite her love for activities outside of the gym.
You'll hear about her 'breaking point', and how she realized that her obsession with training was taking away from so many other aspects in her life- including hormone issues that lasted for years. We talk about how common hormone issues are in the fitness industry, and how scary it can be to ask for help from a professional when the answer might be 'just stop what you're doing.
STAY TUNED for a future episode in which the Be Well Cartel girl gang digs into our experiences with hypothalamic amenorrhea, and their journeys to recover their hormones.
Olivia is dedicated to helping other women find balance in training and health, and currently lived and works in Seoul, South Korea.
