Understanding your why has become a sort of catch phrase in the past few years. However, understanding why you do something (or don't) is important. We can get caught up in "how" we need to do something or an end goal. The ego trap of the mind can swing us from desire to despair when things do not turn out the way we thought they would. Being open to events or circumstances working in our favor without looking like we thought they would is key. Remembering why we embarked on a journey helps us to determine when our ego is leading and how to catch what our mind is doing. Then we can stop it and redirect ourselves.
