Filipina in New Jersey vies for the Fab 40 Contest. Get to know
Tina Marie Romero, a 1990 UP Diliman graduate, owner, and CEO of a home care agency in New Jersey, a breast cancer survivor, and currently a Semi-Finalist for a Fab Over 40 contest raising $5k+ for the National Breast Cancer Foundation so far.
She's determined to win this contest so she can give certified home health aide scholarships to 40 women plus it will give her the opportunity to share her advocacy with a larger audience. She is advocating for a legislative change for a new visa category for low-skilled workers so she can bring in caregivers from the Philippines as a solution to the dire caregiver shortage in the US and give Filipino caregivers an opportunity to elevate their lives.
