Ambee Stephens is the founder and Executive director of nonprofit, EmpowHERment. A women's empowerment community center committed to helping women rise through advocacy services, support groups, and empowerment workshops. Stephens holds two bachelor's degrees in community leadership and paralegal studies. She holds a master's in nonprofit management, as alumni at UCF. She also has recently obtained her fundraising certificate from UCF. Stephens is currently attending UCF to obtain her Ph.D. in Sociology which she hopes to use to educate women on starting a nonprofit while maintaining work/life balance. Stephens has held leadership positions at top-tier organizations such as ABC Action News and CASA St.Pete (Floridas largest domestic violence center) before making the transition to lead her nonprofit, EmpowHERment full time. In 2020, during a worldwide pandemic, Stephens managed to open a community center committed to helping women in Tampa Bay. Stephens states "I want to help people with intention. I am proud to give back to my community through my labor of love."
