Check on the folks you think are strong today; especially if their mother is in heaven.
Don’t act all crazy or over the top.
Just say to them; this is a wellness check. Then shut your big ole mouth. Listen. Take your cues from them.
Trust me. You don’t know how they feel. Even if your mother is in heaven. Even if you’re the best mom ever, you don’t know how they feel. Everyone deals with grief, loss, regrets, and love differently.

As for me. I’m grateful to my God for allowing me to feel the unmatched love of my Hattie Mae. I’m also grateful to be a mom.
