“My beloved brothers and sisters, Christianity is comforting, but it is often not comfortable. The path to holiness and happiness here and hereafter is a long and sometimes rocky one. It takes time and tenacity to walk it. But, of course, the reward for doing so is monumental.” Jeffrey R Holland
While reading my scriptures recently, I noticed a word that hadn't stuck out to me before...AFTER. Many times in life we experience a trial that is so heavy to bear and yet after these trials, tribulations and afflictions, there is light. There is hope, there are miracles. Join me today as I share some different scriptures that show us that AFTER we can experience increased faith, greater light and personal revelation.
“Orson F. Whitney said: “No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God … and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven”
