Description

The greatest of all sins is pride. And so I must confess

That, deep down inside, I felt great duress

That I found the scene before me impossible to explain

To not be able to say what I had seen caused me great pain

Alright, let me clear my mind and at the very least try

To explain what you see when you go above the sky

The setting is made, I'l give you my angle

The beauty displayed out of your transparent rectangle

Ignoring the wing in the corner of your eye

An ugly orange thing emblazoned with corporate vox populi

You see the wondrous sight of the clouds from above

As your heart is set alive with longing and love

You want to break outside, to try and escape

So you can live forever inside the cloudscape

You're to be enclosed in this rectangle another hour

The discontent sowed as your mood starts to sour

I want to sell this time later to a great artist of the past

Take a bard, poet or painter of a high enough class

Who can properly portray the majesty of this moment

As my skills have betrayed my description of this incident

I haven't yet begun to describe the cloud horizon

Nor mentioned the sun anew bright as my view wizened

My heart is down, as I realise I haven't described it at all

Just take solace my eyes witnessed something so beautiful
