Dopamine is a super powerful chemical produced within our brain circuits; it modulates the activity of our neurons when we desire something and therefore giving us an increase and or decrease in dopamine, but the increase or decrease is determined by our expectations (reward, risk and error)
I believe the key is to raise baseline dopamine by doing things that are personally considered to be difficult or undesirable, these are some of the things that will help.
1. Sunlight (first light in the morning)
2. Movement (walking with the first sunlight)
3. Weight resistance training (no need to go hard, just enough to push you to your level).
4. Nutrition (if you could figure that one out your body will thank you....so will your baseline dopamine)
5. Cold shower first thing in the morning.... This is perfect for activating the cold receptors in our skin.
6. MY FAVORITE. DCWE (deliberate cold water exposure) Ice bath primarily... Ice baths will be extremely challenging, yet ultimately beneficial in increasing baseline dopamine by almost 3x for a period of 5-6hours!!
