Shell was diagnosed with PCOS in March 2020. This prompted her to start losing weight with Slimming World. She has currently lost over 37lbs in the last 8 months. She still has more weight to lose but has noticed she is feeling better. Has more positive self talk when she looks in the mirror. She has also noticed clothes fit better and she is happier with her body. Something she discussed multiple times is loving herself and accepting who she is. When it comes to food, she has found buying healthier food like a vegan burger or better cuts of meat. She started losing weight as people started retreating indoors from COVID. She was able to find an exercise group that does live zoom calls with exercise. She started out doing this 5x a week for about 30 minutes and is now spending an hour moving in the comforts of her own home each day. She has a good support group as her mom is also losing weight.
