Previous 'human[e] architecture' investigations have identified that Honolulu’s skyscraping skyline borrows much from Chicago, from architectural articulation to authorship. Both cities fronting water, this series of episodes investigates the most recent development in Chicago and their relation to and relevance for Honolulu. DOM Publisher’s 'Chicago Architectural Guide' gives orientation and inspiration for Martin Despang’s scavenger hunt in Chicago in May 2022. It refreshes previous impressions and eye witnessing memories of DeSoto Brown and Martin Despang from combined from the 60’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. The show is making the viewers recollect, update or initiate their substantiated image of Honolulu’s fellow Windy City as to what to learn from and what not to.
