#16. One day at a time
It's hard to wake up in the morning
to start a new day when the demons start you calling
in your head you can see these children in need
no relieve tell me why we are so full of greed?
then I look at sky
another ghetto bird died
before it learn to fly
so don't ask me why
why these kids stay high
got my heart broken to see
these communities in need
where people can't breath
because they kill them on the streets
defeat to mankind
no compassion I'm terrified
when I realized it's destructive to keep a cause alive
we suffer and suffocate but how long we'll suffer?
soon we'll turn violent when they start stealing our supper
but we got to defy the upper hand
and make a stand
to make them understand
that it's a god's plan
to reveille the truth
to these hopeless youth
where they take children's life while they still alive call it a unforgettable loot,
shoot the world it's full of destruction
too many demons screaming it's hard to function
so until we learn to fly keep your eyes open wide
empathy and kindness you got to choose a side
and keep a destructive mind
peaceful thoughts it's one of a kind
so we continue growing one day at a time.
