Description

In this sermon, Oz continues our series on the book of Jonah, diving into the themes of God’s love, salvation, and the journey of Jonah as a reluctant prophet.

Jonah’s experience is not about debating the literal details but understanding its deeper theological meaning. The central message is that God is both a provider and a saviour, capable of delivering us from our deepest struggles.

Jonah’s prayer reflects the salvation process: admitting our need for help, believing in God’s saving power, and committing to follow Him.Jonah’s journey mirrors our own struggle with sin and the need for God’s mercy. Even in our lowest moments, we can find hope and salvation in God.

The story of Jonah ultimately foreshadows the greater sacrifice of Jesus, who provides ultimate salvation through His death and resurrection.
