Abel Mizraim means "The outcry of Egypt". This was a label given to Jacob's burial ceremony by the terebinth of Mamre. It is an intriguing one because Jacob and his son Joseph who took him there were both Hebrews. However, the influence of Joseph on Egypt was so strong that the world had come to identify him with Egypt.
