In the lead up to the official outbreak of World War II, Japan was already hard at work creating biological and chemical weaponry using human test subjects as their medium. It was one of the most brutal campaigns of scientific study in human history, said to be worse than that of the Nazi concentration camps. And one of the worst parts? Nobody took responsibility for it.
