David escorts the ark of the covenant, the chest that held the stone commandments God gave to Moses, into the newly established capital of Jerusalem. David is so overcome with joy that he dances in an undignified manner. When confronted by his wild dancing, David exhibits why he was chosen by God, and why his kingship was so successful. For David, worshiping and honoring God was the only thing that mattered. In today’s message we will consider how we might be inspired by David and become undignified for Jesus.
