In the Scripture for this week, we hear about a mother whose love and concern for her little girl causes her to go to Jesus. She begs for Jesus to heal her daughter from the evil spirit that torments her. Jesus and the Syrophoenician woman engage in a fiery debate which ends with Jesus healing the little girl. In the end, we are left in awe at the way even the crumbs of God's grace can bring about seismic change.
