In Luke’s account of the resurrected Jesus’ appearance to the disciples, Jesus invites himself over for dinner. In those days, sharing a meal in one’s home was the ultimate sign of friendship, intimacy, and unity. This invitation to fellowship helped to empower the disciples to carry on their mission in Jesus’ name. In worship this Sunday we will learn about the power of fellowship and its importance in our lives as Easter people.
