I wasn't sure what to talk about today. As I had a restful night sleep with no divine message to pass on. However I was lead towards the word enlightenment.
I think that many hear that expression and think, Jesus!! And, of course, point the finger judging the individual speaking about enlightenment assuming that that person thinks they are above another human being. But enlightenment is the exact opposite of that thought. Enlightenment expresses that no one is above another or anything else that exists for that matter.
So what is enlightenment anyway!?
Enlightenment is a higher state of awareness and nothing else. It doesn't mean that we will be hovering above everyone like a spaceship or walking on water.
Enlightenment means that you are capable of being in the movie, while watching the movie, while also directing the movie. It means that you gave gotten to the state of no longer being tied down but most importantly controlled by lower vibrational emotions, therefore the ego is no longer directing you. It is now the heart that completely guides you.
Here's a rule of thumb when you're in doubt.
The ego wants you to stay safe, while the heart wants to set you free.
The ego, is comparable to the devil in many religions. For the ego works off of lower vibrational emotions; fear, anger, resentment, bitterness, sadness, blame, victimization mentality. The heart, which is linked to Spirit, is all about compassion, gratefulness, giving, faith, openness, trust, freedom and good ol'love!!
Ego is our fail-safe mode. Our back-up hard-drive that's always ready when our system is being attached.
The heart of who we are is like the best and most expensive spyware program on the market. And the purpose of the program is to allow you free reign to god, to do, to be whatever you want without feeling attacked or unprotected. Which leaves you with a sense of trust that since everything is going to be ok, you can do anything without feeling threatened and without feeling insecure about yourself.
