Description

HELLO GOOD PEOPLE! Courtney & André are back with a fresh new episode. A lot of soccering's just kicked off so we get into some quick NWSL-related shoutouts before moving to the CONCACAF W Championship.

We review each round 1 matchup of group play and get into how very different USWNT vs. Haiti could have looked, our concerns with defensive cohesion (and personnel), which leads us to reflect on the greatness of Crystal Dunn. We also ask how many Yike™ should Mexico feel after losing to Jamaica, and we discuss the key lesson we hope Bev Priestman learned in Canada's 6-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago.

Then we move on to stand in solidarity with Barbra Banda, Caster Semenya and all other athletes being targeted by the faux concern that's led to the policing of bodies in women's sports. We discuss the violation of CAF forcing every player to undergo "gender verification", plus how this all connects to archaic and patriarchal belief in a gender binary, misogyny, racism and transphobia. We stand in complete solidarity with Barbra, Caster and every athlete targeted.

Please also listen, subscribe, rate and review – we appreciate y'all.
