Description

What is there to say when a Palestinian toddler is shot and killed by Israeli soldiers? On the one hand, a lot. There are plenty of frameworks, concepts, and ways to contextualise it that we can choose to use. And honestly, I feel like I have covered so much in my mini-series on Palestine that there's just nothing new. Because on the other hand, this is all so so tragically not new. The killing of children is not new. The impunity is not new. The violence is not new.

So in my episode, I explore the topic I've been wanting to explore for some time. It doesn't have to be directly related to Palestine, but in my case, it is.

That topic is simple: it's an invitation not to be desensitised by what's happening in Palestine and, as importantly, to reject people's attempts to shame you for your humanity.

Because being shamed and mocked for caring is probably not the paradigm you want to live in anyways.
