[3/26/2018] Rowan Atkinson is a weird looking dude! I know I’m not the sexiest tool in the shed but all I know is that whenever I see him I see that weird quirky guy from Elmo’s World, Mr. Bean! Mr. Bean was a British sitcom created by Atkinson and Richard Curtis where Atkinson was something he could only describe as, “a grown man in a child’s body”. https://www.youtube.com/watch? As you can see, Mr. Bean rarely speaks but through his rumblings and sheer idiotic behavior that character is known worldwide! In that signature tweed jacket & skinny red tie he tripped fumbled and crashed right into our television sets from 1990-1995. 4yrs may seem short to some but by the time he reached me in 2006 I understood/respected the buzz…Elmo’s World helped. I was surprised to hear that Rowan Atkinson actually got his start in radio and alongside Richard Curtis they created the Atkinson People where they would interview fictional famous figures on BBC Radio 3 in 1979...
