Big show tonight folks, we have some actual talent on the No Outlet Podcast! Our guest tonight is Improv Black Belt Alex Dickson! Being the huge Improv nerd that I am, having her on was a real treat for me. When I was taking online classes with UCB they would have us watch recorded Harold’s and other improv performances on You Tube and that is when I first saw her perform improv. Her effortless improv talent is equal parts impressive and intimidating. Making The Harold (or any improv) funny while appearing to be effortless is a true Jedi-Like improv skill that I am in awe of and our guest tonight certainly possesses it! In addition to being part of the Raaaatscraps improv team based in NYC she is also fresh off an appearance on “Last Week with John Oliver” and has dozens of other credits to her name. She was super nice and we discussed how aliens are much more likely to be real than the Loch Ness Monster (Squid?), how being a lantern fish could be Alien jail, the limited impact on our culture that Jersey Shore has had, we determine who is making all those warranty calls, the most annoying driving habit, finding your sense of humor through French Kissing, the lost genius of PEN15, The most important aspects of the "perfect" Harold, the unrelenting fortitude of of the 4th dentist, she learns about the evils of the Jeep Wave, liking sad things and the comedic genius of John Oliver among many other interesting topics.
