Here we go Folks! As you all know, I Love Love Love music in all forms and while I have always been a huge fan of listening to music, I have failed numerous times learning how to play music. Multiple fails of numerous instruments…Flute, Trumpet, Guitar, Drums, Piano, Harmonica Guitar again…you get the picture. So I have always had a deep respect for people who can actually play and I have always loved the local music scene. Rick Habib has got both boxes checked! He has been part of the Seacoast music scene for decades, he is a member of Dreadnaught, Power Money Cake, The Wheel of Awesome and many other groups and he is an all around great guy! We talked about the best place(s) to get coffee, the first music he paid for, his first (and 2nd and 3rd) concerts,
the importance of trouble making friends, the origin story of Dreadnaught, the underappreciated brilliance of Steely Dan, walking to the Worchester Centrum, his partiality (but not exclusivity) to a certain brand of Drums, the nostalgia of having to physically buy music, the Awesome power of the Wheel of Awesome, the undeniability of Karaoke becoming an Olympic event, the inevitable fact that we live in a Simulation, the best places to see live music and some upcoming
set dates among many other super important topics. Thank you for coming on the show, we hope you enjoyed the conversation as much as we did!
