In this final week of Faithfully Memphis' Nurturing the Next Generation series, Emily Austin, Minister of Communication for the EDWTN, is joined in the studio with Torrey Bates, Executive Director at For the Kingdom (FTK). FTK is a 100-acre camp, conference, and retreat center located in Memphis' Whitehaven neighborhood, set aside to represent God's kingdom on Earth. "We seek to be a place where God's shalom resides and where all can find a place of prayer, adventure, laughing, bonding, unity, and retreat from the storms of life."
ABOUT THIS SERIES
Children and youth are more resilient than we can imagine, but as we move into the third year of pandemic life, how can we as adults help our children blossom and thrive in an ever-changing landscape that looks very different from that of our own childhoods?
This Spring on Faithfully Memphis, leaders from across the EDWTN will take part in a series of conversations around creating a Beloved Community that values our children and youth. This series is for everyone, even those who are not actively parenting. Listen to other episodes in this series:
