Usually when we hear the word ‘generosity’, we immediately think about money. And, to be completely honest, it would be way easier if the generosity Jesus calls us to was as simple as that. But actually, biblical generosity is far broader, far more involved than simply how much money we give away. If we look at God’s own generosity towards us, he literally gave himself away for our benefit. In the same way, he’s calling us to submit everything we have to him and to be generous in every area of our lives. And we do this joyfully because the upside down truth of the kingdom of God is that living in this way is the place of abundant life.
