Our guest this month is Dr. Ed Caddye talking "Health Optimisation".
In the "first half" we hear from Dr. Ed about his journey to becoming a doctor.
Our "half time" this week looks at New Year's resolutions in particular the concept of trigger, response, reward in Charles Duhigg's book "The Power of Habit".
In the "second half" we hear more from Dr. Ed on health optimisation and the impact of the nervous system and body movement on our ability to perceive our environment and responses in our emotions and behaviour.
Dr. Ed leaves us with his/her/their "key take-aways" of
(1) Change your state: first thing in the morning: (a) take on fluid; (b) gain some fresh air; and (c) see natural sunlight
(2) Move your body: again first thing in the morning complete some physical activity, for example: (a) press ups; or (b) calf raises
(3) We overestimate what we can do in a day but underestimate what we can do in a lifetime.
