Description

This session has focused on How God is Bigger than our excuses. Most of our episodes focus on the process of a creator and their story of how they stepped out to create for His purpose. However, what if you’re not called to be a creator? Are there areas you can relate to within our show?
I would be bold enough to say YES. And today is one of those episodes I think most people can relate to. Today we are speaking on Restore and the process we must journey through to receive full healing.
For a large chunk of my life, I resisted the invitation from God to allow Him to restore my life. I thought it wasn't worth it because it required me to dig into those painful moments of my past which could drive me into depression.  I was wrong. Once I stopped making excuses and chose to do the work, I realized with God that those dark moments of my past didn’t have the same power over me anymore.
Today I invited Susannah Barker on the show because it was at her 2-day retreat called Restore where I laid down those excuses and chose to do the work with Jesus by my side. Friend, I found freedom. And you can too. And I wanted you to hear Susannah’s story and the key element that helped me become securely attached to God, which allowed me to heal.
Susannah Baker is a writer, Bible study teacher, and founder of Restore retreats for women. She just released her newest book and companion Bible study workbook, Restore: Remembering Life’s Hurts with the God Who Rebuilds.  She has been married to her husband, Jason, for twenty years, and they live in Houston, Texas, where they raise their four beautiful daughters.  You can connect with Susannah at www.susannahbaker.com and on Instagram, @baker.susannah.
