Welcome to the FFF and welcome to another episode of The Magic of where we provide in-depth profiles of clubs from all over the world. We like to cover a whole range of clubs - from those with a rich history to those with new beginnings, massive clubs with international support to smaller clubs with a modest yet equally passionate fanbase, and clubs you've most likely heard of to ones you most likely haven't.
This episode is all about Irish club, Drogheda United FC. Drogheda United are an Irish association football club based in Drogheda, County Louth and are currently playing in the League of Ireland Premier Division. We'll briefly explore the historic port town of Drogheda before digging into the rich past of Drogheda United FC then round it off with a chat I had back in May with long-time supporter Niall to get a fan’s perspective of The Mighty Drogs.
