Dr. Melanie Hutchinson works towards a future with ecologically friendly fishing practices. To achieve this, she is studying how to reduce shark bycatch in commercial fisheries. Her latest research project was an undertaking of tagging 275 sharks which lead to direct impacts on shark and fish management.
