Kate Davies is a Project Manager and A&R Director with a decade of experience in the music and entertainment industries. She was Director of A&R, Casting + Artist Relations for CTV's The Launch, which has seen over 40 million streams of the show's numerous hit singles (including a double-platinum single, and six #1 singles). Previously, Davies worked as A&R at Universal Music Canada, where she created, developed, and managed the ’A+R Me’ street team and mentorship program which recruited over 80 A&R scouts nation-wide and resulted in multiple signings at both Universal and its distributed labels. She was also responsible for all A&R and new talent at The Feldman Agency where she created and managed an online interactive Canadian Music Scouting Program. Davies was a Music Journalist and Editor in both Canada and in the UK and has a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Sussex (UK) in International Law, with her dissertation focused on Canadian Music Copyright Law. Most recently, Davies collaborated with Canada’s leading vocal company, LVS & Co, on the creation of a nationwide emerging artist contest Becoming, which saw hundreds of applications and two sold-out live online finale showcases in its inaugural year. She is also an artist manager and mentor and develops emerging Canadian talent and is currently working on a new independent music project with more details to be announced soon!
