Hammond Report June 27 2021 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's music story is about playing live on AFN Europe from Frankfurt Headquarters on the Powerlite Show hosted by Margie Glatt - we were crowded around one big Neumann tube microphone, Joe Berger at the controls with my trio: James Preston drums, Barry Finnerty guitar and yours truly Jon Hammond at the organ - both Barry and myself were plugged in to a Roland Cube amp with a heavy duty Electro-Voice speaker from our good friend Tino Pavlis - it was an amazing experience! Jim Preston long-time drummer of Sons of Champlin greatly missed for a few years now - he was a great funky drummer and good friend since my teenager years!
