Description

When it comes to the subject of time, you have the Western point of view and you have the Eastern point of view. In the west the majority of people perceive time as liner; meaning you have a past, present and future. In the East, time is viewed in terms of cycles in the human collective consciousness. Therefore, in Hinduism the idea of time and eternity are broken down into four (4) cycles known as the Yugas. The first and longest lasting cycle is known as the Satya Yuga, followed by Treta Yuga, next Dwapar Yuga and lastly the fourth and shortest cycle known as the Kali Yuga.
