Joy Alaman is a bestselling author, speaker, licensed minister, and Domestic Violence Advocate. She is the visionary and founder of SWAN, Surviving Women’s Advocate Network.
The organization helps stabilize domestic violence victims in transition with resources, education, and housing referrals. In her advocacy Joy has served the criminal justice system as a Re-Entry Instructor, preparing women to return to society with a new mindset that breaks the cycle of abuse.
As a Domestic Violence survivor, she connects with those affected by D V, offering guidance with knowledge and experience. As she coaches survivors in transition she encourages and supports them on their journey to wholeness. Joy is more than a survivor and teaches others how to truly overcome the effects of abuse, trauma, and depression because of Domestic Violence. Her tenacious faith is her greatest weapon in the fight against Domestic Violence.
