Kena Sosa is an award-winning author, emerging screenwriter and percussionist. She earned her BA in English from OLLU, and her Masters in bilingual education from SMU in Dallas, where she lives with her sons. She wrote articles for Examiner.com and CBS/DFW Local featuring events and attractions in the DFW metroplex area for many years and contributed to travel anthologies from her experience living in Japan and Mexico. Her book, Kindertransport-a child’s journey won a CLC Award for historical fiction and The Unhuggables, won the Enchanted Page Book Award. She has written and produced official selection films and made her directorial debut in 2021. Kena performs with Goisagi, a taiko ensemble and is an endorsed Creative Percussion Artist.
