Hello, my dance friends! Today, I get to chat with the beautiful and talented Ebony Qualls. She tells us a little bit about how she got into #fusiondance, who some of her biggest inspirations are, and how she builds a choreography.

Ebony Qualls is a fusion dancer from the D.C. area and a founding instructor of Sahara Dance – Washington DC’s Center for Middle Eastern Dance. She teaches both traditional and urban fusion formats and has choreographed for Raqs Sahara, Sahara Tribal, Raqs Caravan West and Raqs Caravan East, and her own troupe, Shimmy Pop. Newcomers to belly dance are Ebony’s favorite students, as they are a major source of inspiration to her.
A Bellydance Superstar, featured performer in Zoe Jakes's House of Tarot, and featured choreographer, collaborator, and artist for several dance projects all over the world, Ebony's energetic and fun style of teaching and performing keep her students excited and ready for more classes!
