Description

Hello, my dance friends! Today, we chat about how to find that spark with your dance practice and performance prep. This year has been especially difficult in a plethora of ways, and many of us are coping with just paying the bills and making ends meet.

This can also really stress your performance prep and regimen, especially if you're a professional dancer, and I wanted to discuss some creative ways to become inspired again, especially if you're feeling stressed or a little overwhelmed right now.

These are 7 tips for finding inspiration in your dance game, some that I've always used, some that I've learned from other dancers, and some are games that have been created by the pros! Of course, it is always important to research the culture and history of the movement influences in your dance practice, so please take the time to be as informed as possible when working within regional and world dance forms in order to utilize/share respectfully and in appropriate context.

Please feel free to post in the comments any of your go-to methods to re-ignite that excitement for creating and new choreography or enhancing your drill and dance regimen.

Much love to all you artists out there, especially as we head out of 2020 and into the new!
