Description

Welcome back, Boo Crew! This week is a bit of a heavy one, and for that reason I’d like to make you all aware that this is a *Trigger episode. Bree makes a Japanese ramen dish for us, that was super delicious! She also gives us some facts about ramen and talks about how many different types of it there are. My story is also from Japanese culture. I head to an area at the base of Mount Fuji, the Aokigahara forest! Known by a few different names, this forest has gained quite a bit of notoriety in the last few years, especially since it was turned into a Hollywood movie starring a Game of Thrones alum. I must warn you all though, this episode can be upsetting to some listeners. My story contains mentions of suicide, so if that is something you’re not comfortable hearing, you may want to fast forward. We’ll still have our special segments at the end of the episode. And I encourage anyone with suicidal thoughts to contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Or text the Crisis Text Line (text HELLO to 741741). Both services are free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The deaf and hard of hearing can contact the Lifeline via TTY at 1-800-799-4889. All calls are confidential. As always, make sure to catch the links for our recipes and stories down below and thanks for hanging with us! If you haven’t done so already, follow us on Facebook, IG & Twitter and send us your favorite recipes or scary stories at baking_with_boos@yahoo.com! And if you’re enjoying the pod, don’t forget to rate/review and leave us some love! Catch ya next week!
