Although it may seem simple, the term sobriety is somewhat controversial in the area of addiction treatment. Maintaining a sober state may be difficult for many people who have previously abused substances for several reasons. Why Erin Decided to Get Sober

Erin decided to start a podcast about her decision to sober up. She has been a heavy drinker for the past 20 years. What made her change her lifestyle was she couldn't bear to look at her present self anymore.
Daily Life in Pandemic

Erin considers that the pandemic played a vital role in realizing what was wrong with her life. She decided not to drink starting January 1st and found a motivational coach.

Erin thought that she was a severe case when it comes to alcohol addiction. She would have two bottles at night and some little bottles in the day time, and she would sometimes sneak some of her husband’s Irish whiskey (not so secret) Erin also had a hard time identifying who she really was because of her drinking habits and would often suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. She remembered being a mess back in her early days in Seattle. Most of the time, she would be with her friends, drinking, or doing drugs.

Erin felt sad and dark when she remembered how she lost friends to alcohol and drug addiction and how glad she was to move on from that life. Since her choice to sober up she has been so happy to have met people who have different experiences with sobriety and hear their stories.

Erin was having a conversation with her friend about getting sober. At the end of it, her friend shared an idea that it would be great if they shared each other's journey over a casual phone conversation thinking people who might have the same struggle would engage. Erin was excited about the idea, and thought that her tagline should be sober bliss, it's her way to be proud about being sober.

Erin is incorporating meditation in her life of sobriety. When Erin stopped her alcohol addiction, she felt that she was herself again, and she could feel the things that were numb before. Her goal in sober bliss was to share her and others' experiences, to give people options on coping with alcohol addiction.

Erin believes that other people will show interest and trust and buy into it if you believe in what you're doing. People will start to feel her passion and want to join her on her journey. Turn the word Sober into a prideful thing.
