The coronavirus pandemic is engendering a global mental health crisis. Frontline health workers, working under enormous pressures with already residual health worker shortages and burnout previous to COVID-19 coupled with the aggressive transmission of the virus and lack of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), are left vulnerable to depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
