Join Mandi Kerr and Jim Booterbaugh, President & CEO at National Spinning Co., Inc. (USA) on this morning’s episode of Moving ^HEMP Forward.
National Spinning is an employee-owned company that has operated continuously since 1921. It is a leading USA-based supplier of raw white (ecru) and fiber-dyed short staple and long staple spun yarns. Offerings include yarns spun from synthetic fibers, natural fibers (including wool and cotton), and technical fibers.
In addition to its yarn business, National Spinning has two other operating divisions. Hampton Art designs, produces, and merchandises consumer craft products. Carolina Nonwovens produces and distributes air-laid thermo bonded pads and rolls. In addition to these, National Spinning maintains, manages, and leases commercial space in its Washington, NC facility alongside Kennedy Creek.
Today they operate 1 spinning facility, 1 fiber-blending facility, 1 nonwoven facility, and a distribution center, all in North Carolina, USA. Yarn products are sold domestically and for export. The other divisions sell mainly domestically.
